Success!

Finn went in for his surgery this morning and he did great! They even messed up his time and he had to wait an extra 2 hours (more time with no food in his tummy!). He was an angel! We go back to the plastic surgeon in 3 weeks to see how everything is going.

Finn update

Finn is having his first surgery on his ear Tuesday morning. The surgery itself is nothing serious, it won't take but a few minutes. They are going to laser the hemangioma on his ear and inject steroids into it. This is to get him off the oral steroids he has been taking - which make him feel AWFUL!! They are trying to keep the hemangioma under control. It has taken over his entire ear. He will have laser surgery multiple times to keep it from growing. Once it has completely stopped growing, it will be removed and he will have reconstructive surgery. The scary part is that he will recieve general anesthesia. He is still so tiny that we are really nervous about that part. Please keep him in your thoughts!

5 Months old!

Big Finn is 5 months old Monday! He is making great progress. He weighs 11 1/2 lbs and is finally starting to hold his head up! He is taking a few medications that don't make him feel very well, but we hope to be off of those soon!
Daddy was brave enough to take Big Sam to Donald and Laura's wedding this past weekend. Congrats Erwins! We are so sad that Finn couldn't make the journey, but thanks to Nana for keeping us company! Thanks to Chris, Grammy, and Jim for all your help with Sam!!!
